Last year (2022) I created two sets of questions that are designed to test your knowledge of the Forces and their Interactions topic for Paper 2 of AQA Trilogy Physics. One test is for Higher Tier and can be accessed by clicking here; the other is for Foundation Tier and can be accessed here. Both tests have answers at the end so you can mark your own work. More importantly, by comparing your responses with the answers provided you will be able to identify areas that need further revision.

For thorough revision you should practise answering complete past papers. A good place to find these is on the mmerevision.co.uk website, which sells “predicted” papers containing questions that are judged to be more likely to come up this year, together with an index of free past papers from recent years. Just click on the mmerevision link above to access the index page then choose the paper and mark scheme that you want to use. These resources are all provided as pdf files.

Another index of past papers is on the revisionscience.com website – again, free of charge and with downloadable mark schemes, all as pdf files.

Finally, the examination board (AQA) also has its own index page of past paper pdfs. The layout is not as neat as those used by mmerevision and revisionscience but everything is here if you scroll down. I have provided a link that displays the resources for Physics Paper 2 specifically: to access the list, click here.

There is no such thing as too much revision, so with Paper 1 out of the way and a week’s break ahead, now is a good time to attempt as many of these past papers as you can. The idea is not to get everything right first time: the idea is to learn what you need to know to answer these sorts of questions correctly if they come up again this year. And you can be sure that some of this year’s questions WILL be similar to some of the ones that have been asked before. So get practising!
