Examination boards are very keen on asking students to apply their knowledge to real-world situations. One of the most important issues in the world today is climate change and one of the most important ways to address this is by switching from non-renewable energy sources to renewables.

BP, which has long been thought of as a fossil fuels company, has been developing renewable energy technologies and has produced some useful information to help you revise this topic.

To access these resources you will need to enter the appropriate student code on the BP Education Service homepage at https://bpes.bp.com/ by clicking on Enter a student code at the top of the screen. You do not need to do any registration, just enter the codes as below;

  • To access resources for renewable energy in general, enter the student code 71522.
  • To access resources focused on energy trasfers and electricity generation using wind power, enter the student code 91333.

These are great resources, both of which include an information sheet with a self-test question sheet, and I would like to thank BP Educational Services for producing them!
