A bit of light reading today, given that some of you sat a GCSE Chemistry paper this morning…
I’m very proud to report that a short article I wrote for Physics World has been moved outside the magazine’s pay-wall so it is now available for everyone to read. It concerns confusing information on the Internet and starts from a discussion about calories that I had with my Year 8 class just before Christmas. The article goes on to think about diagrams that claim to show Isaac Newton’s famous experiment to split and recombine white light using glass prisms. You can access the article at https://physicsworld.com/a/web-of-confusion/.
I think it’s an easy read and the reaction I’ve had so far has been very encouraging but I’d love to know what you think about the article so feel free to email me using mrtarrant (usual symbol) cantab.net
