Sometimes in an exam paper you will see a question that reads something like: “State the relationship between speed, distance and time”. This can seem confusing unless you know that, in this context, the word “relationship” means equation. So what you are really being asked to do is write the equation that contains the quantities stated.

For a question like this, you would normally write the equation in words but it’s important that you also know the correct symbol equation and the units that apply for each quantity.

Learning all of this is a key skill for exam success, so I’ve uploaded a worksheet that you can use to check your knowledge of equations for Paper 1. To download the worksheet, click here.

I have also uploaded the answer sheet, which you can download here to check your work.
