In advance of next week’s GCSE results, Edexcel has announced details of real GCSE examinations that you will be able to take during November. This is important because if you want to take advantage of that opportunity then you must start preparing NOW!

Send me an email as soon as possible if you think this could apply to you.

The paper-based examinations are in addition to the assessed grade that you will receive next Thursday and are separate to any appeal that you may submit about your assessed grade.

The time table for November looks like this;

You must be entered for the examinations no later than Friday 18th September and the school will need to know at the very start of term (which is why you must indicate your intention to sit the exam without delay). The results will be announced on Thursday 11th February 2021.

The dates for the actual examinations are as follows;

Paper 1: Friday 13th November (morning)

Paper 2: Monday 23rd November (morning)

(For reference; the Biology papers will be on Friday 6th and Wednesday 18th; the Chemistry papers will be on Tuesday 10th and Friday 20th – all in the morning.)

In the meantime, good luck for next Thursday!
