One of the most important study skills is note-taking. Some students complain that they do too much writing so in the Waves topic we’ll be trying out a different approach based on Cornell Notes. The method was covered in class but I’ve included a screen-grab here to remind you what it looks like – but remember to leave enough space on the left and at the bottom to add future thoughts when you re-read your notes later for revision.

Your task, to be completed before the next lesson, is to watch another Waves video from Fuse School and to write your own notes to summarise the key points. To access the video, click here.
Remember, the aim is to write as little as you can but to record as much important information as possible. Bullet points and quick sketches are better than long sentences and detailed diagrams: if you want to see perfectly drawn illustrations then look at your revision guide!
